AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday moved a quash petition in the Hyderabad High Court to stall the re-investigation into the Cash-for-Vote scam. The counsels appearing for Naidu submitted a Lunch Motion Petition in this regard.
Recently, YSR Congress MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy filed a petition in Special Court seeking inclusion of Chandrababu Naidu's name in the charge sheet as one of the accused. He submitted the forensic report which confirmed that voice sample of Naidu matched with the phone conversation with TRS Legislator Stephenson. Soon, The court ordered for re-investigation of the Cash-for-Vote scam.
ACB on Wednesday reported to the Special Court that investigation into cash-for-vote scam is already under progress and there is no need for either filing an FIR against AP CM or re-investigation. Based on facts disclosed during the investigation, ACB will be submitting a fresh charge sheet. The progress of the case has been informed to the Court in the form of a memo.
How High Court would react to the quash petition filed by Chandrababu Naidu? Will Hi-Tech Babu gets a relief or faces one more setback?
