Telnagana chief minister is venting anger against the Centre for seeking to usurp its powers. Recently central government took the decision to delegate more powers of governor.

In the communication, sent by Union Home ministry  to the Telangana government, it was proposed to set up a Common Police Board, comprising Hyderabad and Cyberabad police commissionerates, which will report directly to the Governor, not the Telangana government.

The decision was taken after Andhra Pradesh CM chandrababu naidu’s special request to Centre to safeguard the interests of seemandhra people living in twin cities. In his letter to Prime Minister Modi, Naidu requested him to invoke Sections in the AP Reorganisation Act-2014, relating to the special powers given to the Governor for the protection of the properties of Seemandhra people in Hyderabad.

According to sources Naidu brought to Modi's notice about the recent acts of the Telangana government ‘targeting’ constructions of Seemandhra people.Babu has asked Modi to transfer of police powers in Hyderabad to Governor ESL Narsimhan for better safety and security of people of Hyderabad.

Opposing the move of the Centre to delegate more powers to the Governor, chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has directed his party MPs to raise the issue in Parliament. The chief minister had reportedly asked his MPs to raise the issue of Governor's powers along with Polavaram issue in Parliament.
