TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu is said to be very upset with the party leaders and workers, who organised his Amaravathi show of Thursday. He is angry over them as they have failed to anticipate protests from the farmers and over their failure to project the protest as an attack by the YSRCP cadre. Because of this, the whole Amaravati show ended up as a flop show.
Chandrababu was shocked by the farmers' angry protest. He is said to have yelled at the local leaders for not anticipating the protest. Deep disappointment was writ large on his face, admit TDP leaders, who accompanied him. At one place footwear was hurled at Chandrababu Naidu. Though it did not reach Chandrababu, it still made news as photographers clicked it lustily. At Venkatapuram, the TDP cadre took cue from the leaders and began attacking the protesting farmers. The police had to step in to disperse the crowds and bring order. Later, the farmers burnt Chandrababu in effigy at Venkatapuram.
A visibly shaken Chandrababu did not step out of his bus at the assembly hall near Nelapadu, at the secretariat and at the spot meant for departmental heads. He saw these places from the bus itself and went away.
