Until Yesterday, Chandrababu Naidu used to pledge he would achieve Special Category Status with the battle against the Modi Government. Whereas, AP Chief Minister is now saying constituting Joint House Committee will resolve the dispute after his Delhi tour.
Political Opponents have been accusing Chandrababu Naidu of changing his stand upon entering into a secret deal. They allege, Naidu is scared of centre which might re-open the pending cases against him and book fresh cases citing corruption. As per the suggestion from Delhi leaders, Chandrababu Naidu is now demanding establishment of Joint Parliament Committee.
Chandrababu Naidu kept differing with Centre only after the presentation of the final budget. He took an u-turn and began demanding Special Status all of a sudden after accepting Special Package in 2016. Then, He copied YCP's No Confidence Motion. Now, What for this New Committee & when it would submit the report? Even if it offers report, Is there any guarantee that Centre will implement the recommendations? It's more like an attempt to lower the pressure on Centre to fulfill the existing demands.
