As soon as AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has announced that two vacancies in his cabinet would be filled, the hopefuls are making a beeline to his office. He is now being deluged with requests from everyone who wants to enter into the cabinet. Sources say that one of the seats would go to the STs and the other to a Muslim. Both the communities do not have any representatives in the AP cabinet now.
Even those who have defected from the YSRCP are hoping for a ministerial berths. ST MLAs from YSRCP like Kidari Sarveswara Rao, Giddi Eswari and Vantala Rajeswari are eyeing minister posts. Only one tribal MLA has won on TDP ticket. He is Mudiyam Srinivasa Rao. He too is aspiring for the post because he is a loyal TDP man. Mohammad Sharif is considered to be the hot favourite for the second ministerial post. But, even turncoat MLA like Chand Basha is hopeful of getting the ministerial berth.
