General Elections in December 2018: CBN

Update: 2017-08-21 07:21 GMT
AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu hinted that next General Elections might happen in December 2018 itself.

During the election campaign in Nandyal constituency, Chandrababu said: 'It's been 3 Years since General Elections happened. Just two more years have been left. If Centre comes up with the agenda of 'One Nation - One Election', Next General Elections might be preponed to December 2018. Which means Nandyal by-poll is happening just for the sake of remaining one year'.

This isn't the first time AP Chief Minister has spoken about pre-ponement of 2019 General Elections. Does he have clear information from Centre over the advancement of polls? or Was it a strategy to prepare the voters of Nandyal so that TDP could gain benefit?

The million dollar question would be whether or not TDP is confident of winning if general elections get preponed. May be, Babu is of the opinion that anti-incumbency will be less if election happens 6 months in advance.
