AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu shared with the media about his conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi over phone regarding the Special Status issue.
Naidu said he reminded Modi of the injustice being done at the time bifurcation and the promises made by BJP & himself to the people of AP. "Its time to fulfill those promises. I have said to him the same thing," he says, apart from revealing that PM invited him to meet him in New Delhi to discuss the issue.
The TDP Supremo also informs about speaking to Union Ministers Arun Jaitley, Venkaiah Naidu, Nirmala Sitaraman and BJP President Amit Shah over Phone on Tuesday.
Chandrababu Naidu made it clear AP shouldn't be compared with other states as it don't even have a capital or major revenue source to support it economically. "While Telangana with 42 percent population received 56 percent share in revenues, AP with 58 percent population was allotted just 44 percent. Special Status has been accorded to 11 states till date. AP need hand-holding from Centre," affirms the CM.
