The TDP has several Reddy leaders. Being a strong political community with considerable influence, Reddy community is important for every party. Several Reddy leaders have joined the TDP in recent times. In fact, most of those who were egged on to defect to the TDP from the YSRCP are Reddys. Three of them were given ministries also.
But, all of a sudden, one finds that the stock of the Reddy community has gone down within the TDP. It is being seen that Reddy leaders are being sidelined. The recent Delhi deeksha too is a case in point. Several Reddy leaders had joined the deekhs. But, they were not given any importance. Even a leader like JC Diwakar Reddy was not given any importance. Even when Chandrababu led a delegation to meet the President, there were no Reddys in it. The Reddys, a powerful political caste, is none too happy.
