AP Politics have been taking a new turn with General Elections scheduled to happen within the next one year. TDP came to power with the support of BJP in last elections. All the hopes of Chandrababu Naidu to gain as much as he can by being a part of NDA were ruined. There were even allegations of misuse of Central Funds by the TDP Government. All these factors kept widening the gap between the alliance partners.
Respecting the alliance, Chandrababu Naidu kept directing his partymen to avoid targeting the Saffron Party. TDP Leaders have expressed their displeasure on this stand taken by party leadership. They kept questioning, 'How could we remain silent when BJP Leaders were criticizing them and the party?'.
In the first press meet after his return from Davos, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu made sensational comments on alliance with BJP. He went on to say it was BJP which initiated the talks for alliance in 2014. 'I am controlling My Leaders...can't say anything more than that because BJP is an alliance partner. BJP Leadership need to think about the allegations made by their Leaders against TDP. If BJP doesn't want to continue the ties, We are ready to move aside,' he made it clear.
Two days ago, BJP Floor Leader Vishnu Kumar Raju found fault with YCP MLAs in TDP Cabinet, Sand Mafia, Liquor Policy and Corruption. BJP MLC Somu Veerraju alleged TDP is trying to uproot the saffron party in AP. Purandeswari alleged TDP Govt has been publicizing centrally-sponsored schemes as their own. Now, Naidu throws the ball in BJP's court.
