New Twist in Cash-for-Vote scam

Update: 2015-07-30 15:40 GMT
Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Sleuths, earlier, thought of sending a notice to AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu through court seeking his voice sample to verify with the phone conversation between him and TRS nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson as part of the investigation in the Cash-for-Vote scam.

However, ACB dropped any such plans now due to the high-profile people involved in the case and also to avoid legal issues. If a court serves notice directing Naidu to give his voice samples, Then AP CM might approach either High Court or Supreme Court seeking struck down of the lower court's order. This development only dilutes the case and hampers the investigation.

As a result, ACB decided to use admitted voice sample of Chandrababu Naidu. A voice sample of Naidu will be collected from any of his Public Meetings or Address in Assembly or Press Conferences.

Sources say, Two more charge-sheets will be filed in the Cash-for-Vote case.
