AP Chief Minister opposes 'Statue Trend'

Update: 2015-10-17 06:06 GMT
In the past one month, TDP Leaders, Workers & AP Farmers have announced their plans to install the statue of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to show their gratitude. This development invited sharp criticism as installation of statues for people who are alive never gained acceptance of general public.

Popular idol-maker Rajkumar Vudayar who is a native of Kothapeta in East Godavari district received nearly 30 orders for the statues of AP CM.

As per TDP Sources, Chandrababu Naidu expressed his displeasure on the statue trend and decided not to attend either the foundation stone/inauguration ceremonies.
Earlier, Status of Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy who served as President of India, BSP topbrass leader Kanshiram and Uttar Pradesh former CM Mayawati have been installed when they were alive.
