AP CM Chandrababu Naidu opined currency notes with denominations of Rs 500 and Rs 2000 are unnecessary. He, however, welcomes the move of Centre to scrap old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes.

When quizzed if Rs 2000 notes will increase the cost of each vote in upcoming polls, Chandrababu Naidu said: 'Few individuals were misleading the people when it comes to Rs 2000 notes. Such notes could be printed in limited numbers and can use the technology to locate them. Few people say, It will become a family package. Such things shouldn't happen. This buying of votes should end completely'.

'There should be discussion on Rs 2000 notes. Even if such high denominations were printed, They should be withdrawn after some time. According to my opinion, Rs 200 currency notes will be more than enough for cash transactions'.

As per CBN, 'Modi's historic move will bring down corruption in politics and the society. In India, There is 60 to 70% black money. Whereas, It is just 14.5% in America. If a leaders works hard for five years, Another person enters the scene in the last minute and winning the polls using suitcases. I set up Heritage 25 years ago because I don't want to depend on politics for financial reasons. Why should people keep Rs 10 to 20 crore in their houses? Where is need for cash if everything becomes online!?'.
