Demolition of ancient temples in Vijayawada on grounds of development works taken up keeping the upcoming Krishna Pushkarams in mind has drawn huge criticism. Following this development, State Government has calmed down the critics by declaring no more temples will touched henceforth.
A Committee constituted wit 5 cabinet ministers to look into the matter has thrown the blame on the Officials.
However, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu tried his best to minimize the damage with his comments in Today's press meet. Clarifying that State Government has no intention what-so-ever to hurt anyone's sentiments, CBN explained that few temple were demolished as part of road extension because they were close to National Highways. He also cautioned people to be aware of media houses which are using every issue to spread hatred.
Its quite clear that Chief Minister targeted YS Jagan and his Sakshi Media once again. He, however, remained tight lipped over the objections raised by alliance partner BJP.
