TDP chief AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu statements are unpredictable. When Chandrababu understood, voters were in favour of YCP in the last elections he came up with his typical strategies. He forged an alliance with his earlier partner BJP and with the newly floated party Jana Sena. A few days before the elections, Chandrababu arranged Pawan Kalyan meetings in the regions where Pawan's community has a strong presence.
He came up with several schemes like Loan waiver to the farmers and DWACRA women, stipend to the unemployed youth etc. He has increased the promotions. He has given many ads in TDP favourable media and campaigned vigorously through them. With all his experience and schemes he attained the power. As usual, he forgot the promises after becoming CM.
Though forgot most of them, he focused on loan waiver to farmers scheme. Chandrababu government announced that they will implement loan waiver in four phases.. and they have promoted on a large scale when they released first phase funds. When it comes to DWACRA women loan waiver, people got angry and openly demanded the implementation. When Nara Lokesh toured districts after becoming minister, people questioned him about the loan waiver. Even Lokesh got angry with the women's questions.
Chandrababu gave several poll promises before the elections whether people asked for them or not.. when it comes to implementation, Chandrababu government didn't focus much. In such a scenario, Chandrababu made sensational comments in a recent event. He commented that people have become slaves to the government schemes. He said that people became slaves for input subsidy and crop subsidies. Needless to say, the people who attended the programme got a huge shock.
Chandrababu comments gave rise to a discussion that who asked Chandrababu for subsidies directly? Input subsidy is the right of farmers. As farmers don't get their investment back due to various reasons like climatic changes, corporate companies fraud.. the government has to support the farmers. CM Chandrababu or PM Narendra Modi don't have a bigger role in it.. Because farmers are paying some amount to the insurance companies for the input subsidy.. and the government is paying the rest of the amount.
So farmers have every right on input subsidy. Moreover, no farmer asked Chandrababu to give him crop subsidy. What farmers are asking is for good quality seeds, the minimum selling price for their crop, action on the seeds and urea companies who are cheating. In such a situation, it is really surprising that Chandrababu is calling the farmers as slaves. This shows Chandrababu opinion about the farmers.
