AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu set a target of 15 percent Growth Rate for the financial year 2016-17. He directed all the Ministers to strive hard for achieving the mission.
For the financial year 2014-15, AP's Growth Rate stood at mere 7.8 percent. The State Government is likely to achieve a Growth Rate of around 10 percent in the current fiscal 2015-16.
While addressing the heads of departments at the Secretariat, Chandrababu Naidu declared Growth Rate of 15 percent is achievable with planned execution of Urban Development, Housing and Irrigation Projects. Following the Malaysia model, He is firm on setting up experimental labs for monitoring the performance of all the departments in the State Government.
Chief Minister was more than happy to know that the ground water level has raised by 2 percent with abundant rains in all the districts in the month of November. He also stressed the need for better implementation of Welfare Schemes.
