Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is reportedly upset with the denial of Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh by Centre.
Soon after his return from the holiday trip in Turkey, Chandrababu met Cabinet Ministers and all the key leaders of the party to discuss the Special Status issue. In this meeting, Naidu said Centre has got the responsibility to bail out AP from financial crisis and the first step to be taken is according Special Status. The TDP Supremo claimed his party is trying to mount as much pressure as possible on the Union Government. He also wished BJP Leaders does the same to speed up the process.
Reportedly, AP CMO sought the appointment for the team comprising of Chief Minister, Cabinet Ministers, Union Ministers from AP and TDP MPs with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi between August 16th & 20th. This meeting is solely meant to bring to the notice of PM how worse the situation could turn if Centre goes back on Special Status.
