Chandra Babu said to be refused the proposal as he foresaw some complications in the future. It is heard that Chandra Babu is thinking that this hike will burden the middle class people and also bring new troubles for the new capital for the Andhra Pradesh.
Other side the sub-registrar offices in Guntur and Vijayawada and Mangalagiri witnessed heavy crowds on Thursday as people made a beeline for the offices to avoid the proposed 30 per cent hike in land registration charges by the revenue department, assuming that the hike would be in effect from August 1.
