Chandrababu tells party leaders not to talk about alliances?

Is the talk of alliances with the BJP and Jana Sena proving counterproductive? Is it sending wrong signals to the people of the state? Is it giving an impression that the TDP alone cannot take on the might of the YSRCP and that it needs props like Jana Sena?  It appears there is a serious rethink in the opposition TDP.

TDP insiders say that Chandrababu Naidu has asked the party leaders and spokespersons not to air their views on alliances for now. He is said to have told them to desist from talking about alliances as there is still a lot of time for the elections. Too much of a talk about the alliances could give away the TDP plans to the political rivals, he is said to have advised.

Ahead of his three-day tour of Rayalaseema, where he would be covering Kadapa, Nandyal and Kuppam, Chandrababu is said to have told the party leaders to focus on building the party. He said that the 2024 elections were a do or die battle for the TDP and that it was important that the TDP should win them if it has to survive as a political party.

Sources say that Chandrababu Naidu is quite happy with the response to his tour of North Andhra as part of the "Badude Badudu: programme. The crowd turnout at all the meetings in north Andhra was heartening and the party leaders too had buried their differences. Chandrababu Naidu feels that unnecessarily talking about the alliances at this stage could hit the morale of the party workers. Hence, he is said to have told the party leaders not to talk about possibility of political alliances with other parties.
