It is known that Ram Charan had earlier planned to remake his record-breaking hit 'Magadheera' in Hindi but dropped the idea after some time as he felt few landmark films shouldn't be touched. The actor asserts its very difficult to recreate the same magic of 'Magadheera' when attempted a remake as it a film made with team effort and justice can't be done unless the same team joins hands again. He opines films like '3 Idiots' and 'Magadheera' shouldn't be remade as it's impossible to recreate the same product.
Apparently, Rajamouli turned down the offer of Magadheera Hindi remake and so Charan too decided to drop his plans. If not for Ram Charan-Rajamouli, 'Magadheera' wouldn't have been possible and there shouldn't be any complaints if they collectively decide not to be part of the remake.
The Hindi remake rights were bought by Phantom Group, which is owned by Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl, Madhu Mantena and Vikramaditya Motwane. Talks were on to cast Ranveer Singh in the warrior shoes of Ram Charan for the remake of historical romantic drama which went on to become an Industry Hit after its release in 2009.
