Young Kollywood actress Meera Mithun who had hit the headlines with her casteist comments against a particular community attracted another trouble as a charge sheet was filed against her. A charge sheet was filed in another case by the Police.
As per the information, a 30-page long charge sheet was filed against Meera Mithun in another case on the grounds of reportedly threatening a resort manager. The charge sheet was filed before an Egmore court.
The actress is facing jail imprisonment over her alleged casteist comments against a particular community. A political leader and a few organizations have moved the Police against her finding fault with her demeaning comments against a community.
Going into details, the 33-year-old actress had reportedly made derogatory comments against the Scheduled Castes (SC) community in a viral video. She made shocking allegations against the community saying that they indulge in illegal activities.
The actress didn't stop there, she even placed a demand that the members of the SC community should be sent out of the Kollywood film industry. Her comments did not go well with Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi(VCK) chief and Chidambaram MP Thol Thirumavalavan.
Based on the complaint of Thol Thirumavalavan, an FIR was filed against the actress on the sections of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. Based on the same she was sent to prison. Her bail petition was rejected by the court.
The Tamil Nadu Police had arrested the actress after a lot of hard work. She left for Kerala after a case was filed against her. To avoid arrest, the actress and her friend left for God's own country Kerala. Based on a tip-off, the actress was arrested by the cops.
She even reportedly threatened the cops when they tried to arrest her. She allegedly said she will lodge a complaint against them claiming that they had harassed her while arresting her.
