The situation during 1992 Mumbai Riots is so worse that people had no clue if they would survive or not. It's then a Muslim Family saved the life of a Youth who went on to become a World Famous Celebrity Chef.

Search for the Muslim Family that saved the life of Vikas Khanna during 1992 Mumbai Riots lasted for 26 years. Finally, The Celebrity Chef announced he found the family for whom he has been dying to meet.

During the 1992 Riots, Vikas Khanna was working at the Sea Rock Sheraton Hotel in Mumbai. Curfew was maintained almost all over the city after the riots broke out. Vikas Khanna was worried as his brother stays at Ghatkopar where people were killed and houses were set on fire. The Chef got lost in his way and Muslim Family offered him shelter for one-and-a-half day. When the Mob barged into the house for verification, The Muslim Family saved him by saying Vikas Khanna is their son. The head of this Family also sent a person to check if Vikas Khanna's brother is safe.

Vikas Khanna lost connection with the family after the Mumbai riots. He failed to get in touch with them despite many attempts. The Chef used to show his gratitude to them by observing a day of fast every year during Ramzan.

This year, Vikas Khanna broke his fast along with the Muslim Family because of whom he is alive. Sharing a photograph, He called it one of the happiest days of his life.
