Chief Minister's District Comes Last in Inter Results

Update: 2022-06-22 11:08 GMT
The 10th pass percentage in the divided Andhra Pradesh dropped massively; only 67.2 percent of the students managed to pass the exams. Compared to previous years, the percentage is very less and the exam row started a political war with ruling and opposition parties starting blaming each other.

Now the much-awaited Inter results were also announced and the results are record-breaking. Sadly, it is a record for the wrong reason. Just like 10th exams, Inter results also saw a smaller percentage. In the first year, 54 percent of students were declared to have passed, while 61 percent of students passed the second-year exams.

It has been a trend that Inter results see a better percentage than the 10th results. Changing the trend, Inter results saw a lesser pass percentage. Forget about other places, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's own region recorded the lowest percentage in the state.

While the Krishna district saw the highest pass percentage with 72 percent, the Kadapa district recorded the lowest with 50 percent. Girls outshined boys in the results as girls recorded a higher percentage than boys in both years.

The reason behind the less pass percentage is that the students who sat for the inter exams were promoted in the 10th exams due to the Covid impact. During their preparation time, Covid hit the nation and there was a lot of uncertainty on the exams. With no option left they were promoted.

Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Botsa Satyanarayana released the exam results earlier today in the temple city Vijayawada. He addressed the media after releasing the intermediate exam results.
