Pandemic Diaries: Chief Minister Tests Positive, Goes Into Home-Isolation
The current trend in India is fresh Coronavirus infections are coming down, but the high profile people like Chief Ministers, Union Cabinet Ministers are others are coming in contact with the virus.
One more high-profile case added to the list after Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat tested positive for the Coronavirus and went into home-isolation.
He announced the news on his Twitter and urged people who might have come in contact with him to undergo.
"I had got Covid test done. And my report has come positive. My health condition is fine and I don't have any symptoms too. On the advice of doctors, I will remain in home isolation. I request all those who have come into contact with me in last few days, to isolate themselves and get themselves tested," his tweet in Hindi reads.
The Chief Minister went into home-isolation two times earlier. Once in September after a special officer in his officer tested Covid-19 positive and June this year, after a Cabinet Minister tested Covid-19 positive.
Earlier, this week Uttarakhand health secretary Amit Singh Negi has come in contact with respiratory disease and went into home-isolation based on the doctor's advice.
So far, more than 84,000 patients were diagnosed with the Coronavirus pandemic in Uttarakhand, while 1,384 people have succumbed to the respiratory disease.
