Theatres Shutdown - What About Entertainment?

Update: 2018-03-02 06:20 GMT
Cinema is the main source of entertainment for Telugu People. Whenever Two Telugu People have time to spend together, Cinema is something that's gonna be in the must do list. But now, Telugus were forced to look elsewhere for entertainment after Southern Film Industry announced indefinite shutdown of Theatres from March 2nd after the talks with Digital Service Providers such as Qube, UFO and PXD failed.

D Suresh Babu who is the head of the Joint Action Committee explains: 'Only Processing Fee is being charged for Hollywood Films and there in no Virtual Print Fee (VPF). Whereas, Rs 10,000 to 30,000 projection fee, also known as VPF, was charged for Regional Films. In Bollywood, Digital Service Provides agreed to waive VPF from next year. We are asking when they will waive VPF for regional films'.

Actually, Malayalam and Kannada Film Industries will take part in the strike for only a day. Whereas, There won't be any screening of films in AP and Telangana until Digital Service Providers accept the demands.

TFI can't find a better period to go for the strike. Exam Season and lack of any big releases until March 30th (Rangasthalam) makes it the best option. Still, There are countless people who needn't worry about unseason or examinations. Such people will have to make alternative arrangements for at least few days.
