Bringing the months long suspense to an end, Andhra Pradesh Government on Saturday announced the name of Chadalavada Krishnamurthy as the Chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). He now becomes the 46th Chairman of TTD.
Although several leaders were in race for the top post, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has voted for Chadalavada Krishnamurthy as he promised to make him TTD Chairman during the 2014 General Elections after he was denied an MLA ticket. A GO to this affect will be released soon.
AP Government has constituted an 18-Member TTD Board. Out of them, 15 Noted Personalities from AP, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu will part of this new panel. Rest of the 3 posts will be reserved for TTD Officials. 2 Telanganites (1 BJP Leader, 1 T-TDP Leader), One each from Karnataka & Tamil Nadu will be part of the TTD Board.
