CM Jagan offers financial assistance to critic Kathi Mahesh who is undergoing treatment

Self-proclaimed film critic Kathi Mahesh, who often hits the headlines by making controversial comments, had met with a big accident near Nellore district recently and is undergoing treatment.

After his accident, he was admitted to the Chennai facility of Apollo and has been receiving treatment for his condition. Kathi Mahesh developed severe injuries in the road mishap.

Knowing his condition, YSRCP chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy stood as a pillar of support to the critic. The government has sanctioned a sum of Rs 17 lakh for his treatment.

A letter confirming the same was issued by the special officer to Chief Minister M. Hari Krishna. In the letter, the S.O requested the Apollo hospital authorities to continue the treatment for Kathi Mahesh.

"Necessary action may please be taken for providing treatment to the individual and submit the original bills after completion of the treatment to this office within ninety(90) days after discharge of the patient along with the original letter for reimbursement. After receipt of the original bills, the same will be scrutinized and amount will be released," the letter said.

The amount was released from the Chief Minister Relief Fund. The government has the power to lend financial assistance to people in situations when they are unable to bear the treatment costs.
