The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet under the leadership of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met for a crucial meeting on Wednesday at the Secretariat.Amid war of words between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana over water sharing issues, CM Jagan made key statements in the Cabinet meeting.
The Chief Minister said, he is restricting himself from making comments on the disputes as this might show impact on Andhra people living in Telangana.
Saying that they will not remain silent if the interests of Andhra Pradesh were hindered, CM Jagan took inputs from the Ministers on how to deal with the disputes.
The State Cabinet became critical of Telangana towards its decision over generating hydro power from Srisailam water and reportedly decided to move the union government in this regard.
The disputes started with the Telangana government finding fault with Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Project.However, AP hit back at TS saying that the project is being constructed as per the allocations.
