Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao spoke at length about demonetisation on the first day of winter session of the Assembly.

KCR: 'Demonetisation is a decision taken in the interest of the Nation. It should be welcomed by everyone with open mind. Yes, There are issues. People are facing problems due to cash crunch and revenue generation of State Government is affected. Even PM knew it and hence he sought a period of 50 days to address them. Before leaving to Delhi recently, I myself called the Bank Manager to check how much he would offer for my travel expense. He told me that Rs 24,000 would be allotted to me. Everybody is facing problems, but we need to adjust hoping for a better future. Not just debit/credit cards, People need to use mobile banking, e-wallet and other cashless services. Revenues of the states will improve quickly depending on how much of population opt for digital payments'.

'Wiping out of corruption or black money willn't end with Note Ban. It's just a beginning and there will be a complete clean up. I hear some people converting black money into gold. I was told by PM that even gold willn't be spared. Common Man needn't worry. Only the corrupt people who saved their unaccounted money in the form of huge amount of gold bars will be under the scanner'.

'Personally, I told to PM that change can't be seen without ending political corruption. Modi said to Me that he had it on his agenda. Then, I asked him if Centre is willing to bear the maintenance cost of political parties. To this query, PM told he is ready for it!'.

'I assure to Prime Minister Narendra Modi that Telangana Government is with him if he goes for a complete clean up. At the same, We would revolt if the mission is half-done and issues remain unaddressed'.
