A tweet made by an entrepreneur alleging that the infrastructure facilities are not on par with the investments coming to Silicon Valley of India, Bengaluru has landed in a political spectrum and the political parties are locking horns over the tweets. The tweet had given birth to a new debate.
A new debate on which city between Bengaluru and Hyderabad has good facilities to be the best city has started. While KTR urged the entrepreneur to shift to Hyderabad, given the facilities it enjoys, KTR's remarks have been receiving sharp reactions from one and all.
The latest addition to the debate is none other than Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, who raised his objections over drawing a comparison between Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The Chief Minister had alleged that the comparison makes no sense and it makes him laugh hearing such things.
"It is ridiculous. People from all over the world are coming to Bengaluru. The city has the highest number of startups, the highest number of unicorns worth millions and billions of dollars," the Chief Minister said.
Bommai said that Bengaluru is not a competition to any Indian city as it is on par with a world-class city and it is attracting a good number of Foreign Direct Investments over the past few years. His comments came a day after a Cabinet Minister in Karnataka said that Hyderabad has to take some more time to have a competition with Bengaluru.
The starting point of the debate is when Telangana IT Minister KTR had asked the Bengaluru entrepreneur to come to Hyderabad as the city has good infrastructure facilities.
"Pack your bags & move to Hyderabad ...We have better physical infrastructure & equally good social infrastructure. Our airport is 1 of the best & getting in & out of city is a breeze. More importantly our Govt's focus is on 3 i Mantra; innovation, infrastructure & inclusive growth," KTR tweeted.
His tweet made the Karnataka politicians react. Karnataka Congress leader Shiva Kumar said that the glory of Bengaluru will be restored once the Congress comes to power. Let us wait and see where the issue heads.
