Comedian Kunal Kamra And Cartoonist Rachita Taneja Lands In Another Controversy

Controversial stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra landed in one more controversy after the top court of India, Supreme Court slapped notices to him for the charges of Contempt of Court.

Along with Kunal Kamra, cartoonist Rachita Taneja was also served notices. The apex court gave six weeks time for the duo to respond to the cases separately.

The constitution bench comprising of judges Ashok Bhushan, R Subhash Reddy, and MR Shah served notices and asked the duo, why the contempt actions should not be taken against them.

The notices were served to Kumal Kamra for making derogatory tweets against the top court for granting bail to Republic TV Editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami.

"Honour has left the building (Supreme Court) long back" and "The Supreme Court of this Country is the most Supreme joke of this country, " the comedian's tweet read.

Cartoonist Rachita Taneja landed in controversy for sharing illustrations against the Supreme Court. In a series of tweets, she shared illustrations against the apex court.
