The ICC T20 World Cup schedule has arrived. Papua New Guinea, Ireland, Oman, Netherlands, Namibia, and Scotland will join the top teams at the World Cup. A total of 16 countries are expected to take part. The full schedule of the tournament has been released by the ICC after the qualifier matches ended.
The tournament will be hosted by Australia and it is going to be held between October 18 and November 15, 2020. There is going to be a new format implemented by the ICC for the start of the Tournament. The Tournament will have two initial groups, A and B, Papua New Guinea, Ireland, Oman, will join Sri Lanka in group A and Netherlands, Namibia, and Scotland will join Bangladesh in Group B. the top two teams will qualify the super 12 stage. Sri Lanka and Ireland will play the opening match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 at Kardinia Park Stadium. India will begin their ICC T20 World Cup campaign against South Africa on October 24th.
