Congress adopting 'use-and-throw' policy for this young leader?

Update: 2022-04-15 06:33 GMT
Ahead of the all-important Gujarat assembly elections, the Congress Party appears to be in the throes of a crisis. The party's state president and Patidar community leader Hardik Patel is upset and angry not just with the party but also its leader Rahul Gandhi. He is accusing Rahul Gandhi of adopting a 'use and throw' policy for him.

Hardik Patel, who along with Dalit face Jignesh Mewani and BC kshatriya face Alpesh Thakore, gave a tough time to the BJP in the 2017 assembly elections, is a disillusioned man now. He is unhappy that the Congress Party's side-lining him and is looking for alternative Patidar faces.

He said that the state Congress leaders were harassing him and wanted him to leave the party on his own. He said that the Congress High Command too has been ignoring him. He said that though he has taken up the issues several times with Rahul Gandhi, nothing has been done to set things right.

Hardik Patel is unhappy that the party is trying to promote another leader from the Patidar community. Of late, the party is trying to rope in chairperson of the Khodal Dham temple trust Naresh Patel. He will be presented as the Patel face of the party in the 2022 elections. This only means that there is no place for Hardik Patel. An upset Hardik has written to the Congress high command to make its stance clear on his position in the party.
