Congress Core Group to Hold a Meeting on Maharashtra Politics?

Update: 2019-11-12 05:24 GMT
The Maharashtra elections are getting interesting day by day. Everyone thought that Shiv Sena will form the government with its ally BJP. But with differences raising between them, both the parties cannot form the government.

Shiv Sena is taking steps to form the government by seeking the help of NCP and Congress party. Reportedly, Congress did not take any stand on this issue.

To take the final decision over the Maharashtra political situation, the Congress core group meeting will reportedly have a meeting at Sonia Gandhi's residence today.

Earlier, NCP made it clear that they will decide after consulting the Congress party.

"We have been called by the Governor. We have been called to form the government. As per the letter given by the Governor, we will hold discussions with Congress and see how a stable government can be provided to the state. We will get the letter today and make a final decision by tomorrow after holding discussions with our ally Congress," said NCP leader Nawab Malik.

Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has invited the NCP party after having a meeting with Shiv Sena, which expressed its interest to form the government and requested some more time to submit the letter of support. The Governor denied this request.
