The appointment of new committees in the Telangana Congress created a new crisis and the local and non-local issue was also raised. The seniors in the party raised serious allegations and said that leaders who came from the TDP were given preference in the party and leaders who are traveling with the party were left out.
The seniors in the party are not happy with Revanth Reddy leading the party in the state as he was earlier with the Telugu Desam Party. The committees that were appointed recently gave a reason for the seniors to show their anger and dissatisfaction.
The allegations made by the senior Congress leaders did not go well with the leaders in the Congress who support Revanth Reddy and they started resignations. The Revanth Reddyâs camp is also giving a strong response.
As many as 13 leaders resigned from the party including Vem Narender Reddy, Seethakka, Erra Shekhar and others sent their resignations to senior Congress leader Manickam Tagore.
After her resignation, Seethakka sp[oke to the media and blasted the seniors. She said that she did not join the party for any positions and alleged that leaders who did not come out of their houses for the party are now making unwanted comments.
She also took a serious dig at the Congress leaders and said as she is not a serious Congress leader she is not making any open criticism. The so-called strong Congressmen enjoyed posts when the party is in power and they remained silent after the party lost power.
