Congress Leader Starts Controversy, Compares Rahul To Lord Ram!

Update: 2022-12-27 09:16 GMT
Thanks to Bharat Jodo Yatra the grand old Congress party required the much-needed boost to increase its mileage. The Yatra also helped former party chief Rahul Gandhi to get a makeover in the image among people. His image has increased and the party leaders are happy with this.

The unwanted comments made by the leaders are also making the yatra stay in the news. But a comment made by a former Union Minister raised many eyeballs and the Congress leader is facing severe heat for the statements he made.

Veteran Congress leader Salman Khurshid who earlier served as the Union Minister made some controversial comments and compared the Bharat Jodo Yatra and compared Rahul Gandhi to Lord Rama. His comments kickstarted a new controversy.

Former Union Minister Salman Khurshid did not stop there. Giving the example of Bharata taking the Padukas of Lord Rama in his absence, he said in a similar fashion the Congress leaders carried out the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Uttar Pradesh when Rahul Gandhi was not available.

Many including the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders did not like the comparison and they are breathing fire on the Congress party for the comparisons he made. The political leaders making such comments always start controversy and the former Union Minister's comments proved this yet again.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra was started with a great cause of gathering the support of various parties and people. The Yatra also aims at bringing back the lost glory of the grand old Congress Party. But comparing the yatra to the Hindu epic Ramayana is objectionable. drawing a comparison between Rahul Gandhi and Lord Rama is another controversy.

Moreover, the former Union Cabinet Minister compared Rahul Gandhi to Lord Rama. The Right-wing supporters are lashing out at the Congress party and the former Minister.

The right-wing Bharatiya Janata Party is in power and making such comments will give a big weapon for the party to strongly paint the Congress as an anti-Hindu party. Many still believe that Congress is not in favor of Hindus and the opinion has been helping the saffron party to crush the Congress in elections since 2014.
