Congress Leaders in poll-bound Karnataka has been getting embroiled in controversies one after the other.
In a shocking incident, Congress MLA Byrathi Basavaraj's Associate Narayanaswamy splashed petrol inside BBMP Ward Office and threatened to set it on fire after the Revenue Officer refused to sign on a fake katha document. The Ruling Party Leader was caught on camera sprinkling petrol and asking his assistant to bring papers which has to be signed.
Reportedly, Narayanaswamy was involved in a land dispute in the NRI Layout in Horamavu and the case is currently in the City Civil Court. He has been pressuring Assistant Revenue Officer to sign on Katha Document so that he could project himself as the property owner. On February 16th, He reached the BBMP Office with a bottle of petrol and issued threats while sprinkling it.
Congress has suspended Narayanaswamy from the Party soon after the video went viral. CM Siddaramaiah said nobody is above the law and Narayanaswamy deserves to be arrested.
Much to everyone's shock, Narayanswamy refused to accept what he did is wrong. Instead, He claimed to have done so in a fit of rage as Officials kept rejecting his document multiple times. 'I have no intention to set the office on fire,' he said.
