Congress Sent A Letter To Facebook CEO,Alleges BJP's Control Over WhatsApp
Opposition Congress party which earlier alleged that Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) controls Facebook and WhatsApp in India sent a letter to Facebook Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Mark Zuckerberg in this regard.
In the letter, the Congress party asked Facebook what steps did it take against the allegations of Facebook going smoothly on the hate speech of BJP leaders. This is the second letter written by Congress in a fortnight.
The Congress party mentioned the news article carried out by an international daily which claimed that cross-platform messaging app WhatsApp is indirectly controlled by BJP in India.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took to micro-blogging site Twitter and shared the news article of Time magazine which alleged that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) holds control over WhatsApp.
"America's Time magazine exposes WhatsApp-BJP nexus: Used by 40 crore Indians, WhatsApp also wants to be used for making payments for which Modi government's approval is needed. Thus, BJP has a hold over WhatsApp," Rahul Gandhi's tweet read.
