Congress Legislator M Vincent was arrested by Kerala Police on Saturday for alleged rape of a 51-Year-Old Woman.
Kollam SIT Police Commissioner S Ajeetha Begum sought Assembly Speaker P Sriram Krishnan's permission for questioning the MLA. Speaker informed his permission isn't necessary to grill a Legislator when Assembly Sessions weren't happening.
Cops questioned Vincent for two hours before taking him into custody. Immediately, The MLA moved a court in Thiruvananthapuram for anticipatory bail. He said the rape case filed against him is a political conspiracy.
On July 19th this year, The Victim attempted suicide by consuming Sleeping Pills. Later, A police complaint was filed against the Kovalam MLA by her Husband for misbehaving with his Wife on two occasions.
