Congress office set fire in poll-bound Munugode, BJP blamed

Update: 2022-10-11 13:44 GMT
In a shocking incident, unidentified miscreants set fire to the Congress Party election office in Chandur mandal headquarters town of Munugode assembly constituency. The miscreants set fire to the office in the early hours of Tuesday. The party's campaign material and other documents were reduced to ashes.

Congress sources said that the campaign material was stored  for the upcoming poll campaign of TPCC chief Revanth Reddy in Chandur. Revanth Reddy has taken the responsibility of campaigning in this mandal. The Congress is quite strong in Chandur and the activists were eagerly awaiting the arrival of the TPCC chief.

Congress workers allege that the BJP could be behind the fire mishap.  They argue that the BJP was stung by the Congress allegations that the Central government has given contracts worth Rs 18000 crore to Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy and that it is because of this that he had switched over to the BJP.  They said that unable to answer these allegations, the BJP goons may have set fire to the party office.

The polling would be held on November 3 and the results would be announced on November 10. The BJP, the Congress and the ruling TRS are in the fray. All the political parties are marshalling every resource at their command to campaign for their respective candidates. While Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy is the BJP candidate, Palwai Sravanthi is the Congress candidate. The TRS has given the ticket to Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy
