The Congress party is rattled by the exodus of key leaders. What is shocking for the party leadership is that these leaders have stayed with the Congress for decades and have resisted every attempt by the TRS for the last six years. They have waged a relentless battle despite trying conditions. But, these very leaders are now making a beeline to the BjP.
This is what is surprising the Congress Party. For instance, take the case of Vikram Goud. His father Mukesh Goud was a minister and a strong Congressite. Vikram Goud too has largely protected the Congress cadre and has been quite active in the party programmes till recently. Suddenly, he shifted to the BJP. Gudur Narayana Reddy is the PCC treasurer and is a know Uttam Kumar Reddy supporter. Today, he is not paying any heed to even Uttam Kumar's entreaties. He is set to join the BjP.
Former MLA Bikshapathi Yadav and his son Ravikumar Yadav too were active Congress leaders, who had largely kept their support base in tact. They resisted TRS allurements. But, they have now joined the BJP. They did not even allow senior Congress leaders Jeevan Reddy and Revanth Reddy into their homes when the latter came to talk to them. The desertion of tried and trusted Congress leaders is baffling the party and it has no clear answers to this riddle.
