Congress Seeks TRS Support For Rahul

Update: 2019-05-01 05:06 GMT
Much to everyone's surprise, Congress Party sought the support of TRS to strengthen the leadership of Rahul Gandhi. AP Congress President Raghuveera Reddy had written a letter to Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao in this regard. 'BJP denied Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh. Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi, on the other hand, promised to place his first signature on the file granting Special Category Status to AP if he becomes the Prime Minister. I apply TRS to support Congress to form the next government at the Centre,' wrote Raghuveera Reddy in the letter.

Congress is the Main Opponent of TRS in Telangana. So, The chances of TRS backing Congress-led by Rahul Gandhi looks bleak.

KCR would be considering supporting UPA only when NDA have no chances of forming the next government at the Centre. In reality, NDA is likely to emerge as the single largest party but it could fell short of the magic figure by 20 to 40 MP Seats. If such a situation arises, KCR will be more than happy to grab the opportunity to be part of NDA.

First of all, Raghuveera Reddy need to appeal Rahul Gandhi to improve the poll prospects of UPA as much as possible to dream about becoming the Prime Minister.
