Congress seniors still not ready for 'haath se haath jodo' with Revanth
The Congress Party in Telangana. It appears, is refusing to learn any lessons despite becoming increasingly irrelevant in Telangana. The party seniors are refusing to relent and are bent on opposing Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief Revanth Reddy. Despite the recent mediation by senior leader Digvijay Singh, the situation remains the same.
The seniors, who are cut up with Revanth Reddy's ways have openly declared that they would not join hands with him come what may. A senior leader is reported to have told point blank that he would join the 'Haath se Haath Jodoh Programme of the party organised by Priyanka Gandhi, but would not have any truck with Revanth Reddy in Telangana.
Several leaders point out that during YSR's regime, the leaders were informed about all the party programmes and key appointments. In case of disagreement, YSR would listen to their point of view and then try to convince them. That is sadly missing now, the leader pointed out. Several seniors have expressed a similar opinion on Revanth Reddy's handling of the situation.
In another disconcerting development, former deputy CM Damodar Rajanarsimha has announced that he would not attend the party training camp at Gandhi Ideological Centre in Bowenpally. He was appointed as the moderator of the training programme. However, Rajanarsimha said that he would be in Srisailam to attend a four-day Yagam and hence he would not be in a position to attend the training programme.
