Congress Veteran In TPCC Chief Post Race

Update: 2020-12-08 10:26 GMT
The post of President of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee had fallen vacant since Congress MP Uttam Kumar Reddy's resignation after the party's poor response in GHMC elections.

This vacant position led to a lot of speculations on whom will the Congress party announce to lead the Telangana wing of the party. Many leaders are believed to be on the list of aspirants for the post.

Making the race for the TPCC chief post even more interesting, AICC Secretary of Congress Party in Telangana V. Hanumantha Rao expressed his desire to take up the state President post.

His entry in the list of state President's chief post aspirants made the race more watchable as other senior leaders are also hoping to get to the state.

If we have to take anything from the media reports, Bhatti Vikramarka, Damodara Raja Narsimha, Madhu Yashki, Anjan Kumar Yadav, Marri Shashidhar Reddy, V Hanumantha Rao are lobbying to get the post.

The Congress party is going through one of the toughest times not only in Telangana but across the country too. Internal issues within the party are making Congress weaker.

After general elections in 2018, several leaders have shifted their loyalties to the ruling TRS party. With the rise of the saffron party BJP in Telangna, Congress leaders are looking at the party. The other day, Vijayashanti joined the BJP.

The Congress party is looking at a potential leader who can help the party to rise back in the state. The leader should also see that the leaders and cadre are not shifted to other parties.
