Cheliya Scene...Vikram Abhinandan Capture!

Update: 2019-02-28 05:53 GMT
In Mani Ratnam's flick Cheliya, Karthi plays the role of Indian Air Force Pilot. Story begins with Pakistan Armed Forces shooting down IAF Aircraft and the Pilot (Karthi) landing safely using a parachute. Pakistan Army captures him as the Prisoner of War.

To picturize this sequence, Mani Ratnam has done a lot of research. He took the help of Simhakutty Vardaman for better detailing in execution of the tough sequence. Ahead of the release of 'Cheliya', Mr. Simhakutty told he is happy to associate with a film based on Indian Air Force.

Simhakutty Vardaman happens to be the Father of Vikram Abhinandan, the Indian Air Force Pilot who was captured by the Pakistan Army on Wednesday. Never did Simhakutty or Vikram anticipated that something similar would happen in their lives.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi set 7 days deadline for Pakistan to send back Vikram Abhinandan to India. He warned that India will treat as if Pakistan is seeking war if it doesn't return the IAF Pilot.
