Over 90 Constables At Police Training School Contacts Virus

The impact of the deadly virus is getting deeper and deeper into India with the people of various professions getting infected with the contagious virus. Some experts even raise doubts of community transmission in India.

Raising many fears and concerns about the spread of the virus, as many as 91 trainee constables in Thanisandra area of Karnataka were tested positive for the respiratory disease.

All the infected constables were from the Police Training School (PTS) in Thanisandra. The latest addition takes the total infections in the police department in Bengaluru to 1,026

Some media reports clim that, a constable from the same Training School contacted the virus a few weeks ago. Following this, the concerned authorities carried out pandemic tests for all the personnel at the PTS and 91 infections were detected.

The Police Department is the most vulnerable for the pandemic in the state. So far, 1,986 personnel contacted the virus, while 13 personnel succumbed to the contagious disease. 565 personnel managed to recover from the virus.
