Containment Zones to come into effect in Telangana, with a rise in Covid infections!

Update: 2021-03-30 14:23 GMT
The second wave of Coronavirus had raised several fears and concerns in Telangana and several media reports have claimed that the government ruled out the possibility of fresh lockdown in the state.

However, the civic body of Hyderabad, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation(GHMC) listed out the new hotspots of the virus with several areas that fall under the GHMC region witnessing new infections.

As a bid to curb the infections in the GHMC limits, the civic body listed Chandtayangutta, Malakpet, Sherilingampally, Chintal Basti, Golkonda, LB Nagar, Himayat Nagar, Kukatpally, and Jeedimetla as the hotspots for the virus, media reports claimed.

With these areas being listed as the hotspots for the virus, the public movement in these regions will be restricted and the Covid restriction should be followed in the areas without a fail.

On the other hand, the government had made wearing facemasks mandatory and the officials were given the power to slap a fine on the violators, who don't wear face masks outdoors.

The Traffic Police has started a special drive to fine the violators and the Police Department is also drawing campaigns to create awareness to the public on the Covid related situations and restrictions.
