The cops who received a tip-off in regard to the illegal gambling successfully busted a gambling racket and arrested people who taking part in the gambling near the Alur area of Kurnool.
As part of the riads, the cops arrested three people. It has been widely reported that Minister Jayaram's brother was also arrested during the raids. However, there is no official information on this.
According to some media reports, when the cops went to conduct raids at the locals of the village launched an attack on the cops and a CI developed injuries in the attack.
