In what it could be a shocker, 48 fresh cases of the novel coronavirus were reported in Andhra Pradesh in the past 24 hours taking the total count of the cases in the state to 2137.
The state Health Department has issued a health bulletin in this regard which states that 9248 samples were tested in Andhra Pardesh in the last 24 hours and 48 out of them tested positive for teh virus.
86 people were recovered and discharged from the hospitals accordingly in the past 24 hours and with this, the total of discharged patients reached 1142, while the active cases reached 948.
Out of the positive cases reported in the state, 12 cases are from Guntur while Chittor reported 8 cases and Anantapur and East Godavari reported 3 and 4 cases respectively.
