Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao has inaugurated the Deeksha Divas pylon, which was constructed by the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) on the premises of the office.

With the BJP leaders calling for a sit-in before the podium, police were deployed in large numbers outside the corporation office. ACP Kalakotla Girikumar reached the office and permitted the BJP activist in limited numbers.
The ACP was not happy with the husbands of Corporators sitting in the Mayor's Chamber as other than the Corporators, no others were allowed to stay inside the Chamber.
The ACP has warned them that other than the Corporators, others are not supposed to sit and make time pass in the Chamber even though they belong to the ruling party. They had to leave the Chamber out of embarrassment.
