Court Reserves Verdict On Petition Filed To Cancel Ysrcp Party Registration!

At the time when the ruling YSRCP party is gearing up for the Parishad elections, the High Court in National Capital Delhi heard a petition filed seeking the cancelation of the YSRCP party name.

Sk Mahaboob Basha, founder-president of Anna YSR Congress Party moved the Delhi High Court seeking directives to restrict the YSRCP party from using the acronym YSRCP.

Both parties have one thing in common to say, they have the right to use YSR name in the party. However, Mahaboob Basha urged that ECI allocated the Anna YSR Congress earlier, which makes the party eligible to use the name.

The High Court heard the arguments of both parties and reserved its judgement. The Court said, the verdict, in this case, will be announced on the 17th of this month. Now, all the eyes on the date to know what will the court's orders.

Earlier, Sk Mahaboob Basha even moved the Election Commission of India(ECI) to cancel the registration of the YSRCP party claiming that the leaders have misused the party name.
